Guten Morgen, Ansteorra
We are having a number of position openings in the coming months. The Marshallate secretary, Central Regional Marshal, Kingdom Deputy Rapier Marshal,  and Deputy Earl Marshal.  We are looking at making choices for these positions before coronation and will probably have some training overlaps into Gulf War XI.  Please contact the person currently in the position with copies to the Earl Marshal.
   There has been some questions about the role, that an authorizing marshal plays, in the overall structure of the marshallate.  They are NOT in the chain of command.  They are Not "warranted" marshals.  They are to assist and differ to the local "warranted" marshals of each group.  The local marshals are in the chain of command.  They should listen to the advice of some of the more experienced marshals but when it drops in the pot. It is the local officer responsibility in what is actually done with that advice.
   Gulf War XI is just around the corner, please get your gear and your authorization cards in order.  Leather that was hard enough last year may have lost some of it's stiffness.  Please make sure that your kidney belts, gorgets, and vambraces will meet minimum standards.  Because this letter is notifying the marshals that I want them to pay particular attention to these areas over the coming months.
