Greetings one and all,
I've had some inquiries regarding Stargate's A&S Baronial
Championship at Yule vs. A&S Prize Tourney at Baronial, which
prompts me to make the following clarifications.
BARONIAL (in September):
(1) Prize tourney ONLY.
(2) One item only.
(3) Documentation required.
(4) No name on your documentation, please.
YULE (in December):
1) Baronial Championship
2) Body of work.
3) No item should be more than four years old.
4) One item for judging ("Body of Work" is the tie breaker)
5) Documentation required on the judged piece, but not required on
the others (documentation on other pieces will improve the value
of your Body of Work).
6) Item for judging must not have been previously seen/entered in
any Stargate event. [Note: I would have prefer the judged entry
be a new piece not entered in competition. But since Steppes
Artisan and Laurel's Prize Tourney are so close to Stargate's Yule
it seems a little unfair to ask an artisan to enter a never before
entered item on the heels of those events].
7) REGISTRATION: Because we are limited on space each artisan
will only have one table. All artisans planning to enter should
register by emailing or phoning me before November 30th (email and
phone number below) in order to give me some idea of table
requirements.
8) SET-UP/JUDGING: Set-up is from 8:00 to 10:00 with judging to
commence PROMPTLY at 10:00 concluding at 1:00. [The reason for
this tight schedule is because there is a Laurel Circle that day
and judging needs to be completed early to allow Laurel judges to
attend.]
9) PRIZE: To entice you to enter our A&S (or Bardic)
championships, Lord Thomas Attwood (of Stargate) is providing the
championship prizes this year, beautiful (handmade) period
chairs. If you know this good gentle, you know his wonderful
woodworking craftsmanship. I hope to able to post an example
sometime in the near future.
I regret any confusion my first post may have caused and hope this
clarifies any questions you may have had. Please feel free to
contact me
should you have any further questions.
My humblest regards,
Lady Isabeau Quiquandon
Stargate A&S Baronial Champion
Apprentice to Mistress Kaitlyn McKenna
