For those heading to Stargate (ie Houston) for either the upcoming Stargate
Baronial 30th anniversary on Sept. 14th or other events in the area, may
want to check out the exhibit at the museum.

Open till Oct. 27th, the "Treasury of the World: The Jeweled Arts of India
in the Age of the Mughals", is on view at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
The review states: "Most pieces are from the late 16th-17th centuries,
supplemented by objects from earlier eras. About 300 items are royal
materials from the Mughal empire, which descended from Central Asia and
ruled India from 1526-1858. On walls around them are large blowups of
miniature art, showing such objects in their original context."

Additionally, Until Sept. 22, the jewels are being joined by the 13-piece
Imperial Portraits from the Mughal Courts, on loan from the Arthur M.
Sackler Gallery of the Smithsonian Institution.
