Greetings to the Populace of Ansteorra!
It is the great pleasure of the Order of the Rose to announce our choices
for our Champion of the Equestrian Arts and our Champion of the Bardic Arts.
Both were announced, with Their Majesties' kind permission, during Royal
court at Steppes 12th Night.
Vivat to Sir Henri le Hibou du Bois, who entertained us greatly at
Bordermarch Melees with his expert riding, his exuberance in vanquishing all
foes, and his gentle courtesy. As we wrote in an earlier missive, our
choice was especially difficult because of the quality of so many of the
riders competing that weekend. Sir Henri is our Champion of the Equestrian
Arts.
Vivat also to Dona Antonia Bianca Santiago da Lagos, whose bardic
performances during Kingdom Eisteddfod tugged at our heart strings and kept
us riveted to our chairs. Dona Antonia's selection was surprisingly easy
when one considers the other stellar performers who were competing that
afternoon. Dona Antonia will forever be our premiere Champion of the Bardic
Arts.
We of the Order of the Rose would like to extend our appreciation to the
fighters and artisans of our fair Kingdom. We hope that all of you know how
much you add to our society, each of you in your own way and in your own
area of interest. We've had a marvelous time sponsoring our Rose Champion
tourneys and having the opportunity to meet so many of you, learn a bit more
about what you love, and try to demonstrate to each of you how much we
appreciate you.
In Service to Crown and Kingdom,
The Order of the Rose in Ansteorra
