Come to an event away from the mundane world.  No automobile traffic sounds,
no smog, no modern buildings cluttering the view.  The sound of songbirds
and native insects fill the air.  Cool crisp air, wind gently blowing
through the many trees and the new leaves of spring.  The sun will be
shinning through the tree branches dappling the list field.  Pavilions
offering shade welcome you.  Laughter of your friends, swords of rattan and
epees clanging, the voice of the Herald making announcements is heard over
the sounds of nature.

At night look up in the sky and see million upon millions of stars twinkling
in the vast universe.  Evening court under the magnificent trees lit by the
gentle light of flames from many torches.  Lighting the faces of your
current and new friends you’ve made throughout the day.  See the excitement
in faces of those receiving their Award of Arms and other bestowments of our
Stellar Majesties.  Hear the sound of the audience echo off the surrounding
trees when acknowledgement is called from the Herald, Vivat!

A glorious bardic circle follows court in a clearing surrounded by trees
with a formal fire circle in the middle.  A ceremonial fire is lit.  Hear
the Kingdom’s best performers sing and tell stories in the Baronial Bardic
Champions List.  See the audience in rapt attention lit by a central fire.
We might hear our King or Queen regal us with story or song.

Come to an event and relax and have fun.  Get away from the mundane.  Come
to a Barbarian Springfaire in Tanglewood Forest April 4-6, 2003.
