Greetings!
An invitation to all who are attending the upcoming Loch Guardian:
The Grand Procession Saturday morning is open to all competitors. If you are competing in Dance, A&S, Bardic, Archery, equestrian or on the combat field, the incoming Baron and Baroness would like to take this opportunity to greet you. A reminder: Their Excellencies have requested letters of intent from all who wish to be considered for Guardian. They will be accepting letters the morning of. If you wish to enter simply for the joy, rather than for the title, you are welcome to do so.
If you are competing in Dance, please bring a prepared piece to perform, and music. The competition is open to all dancers, solo or group, western european or middle eastern. Documentation is welcome.
Regarding performing arts, Gerald says:
The competition for Bard of the Loch is as follows: The format is a "pass the candle" bardic circle that will begin soon after feast. All contestants must announce their intent to perform for competition purposes at the circle. HL Gerald of Leesville will be one of the judges; the other judge(s) will be anonymous. Competitors for title bard of Loch Soillier should have at least two different styles of performance ready. Extra consideration will be given to those bards that are able to provide documentation for their pieces, either written or verbal, as well as breadth of material. Any questions concerning the competition should be directed at HL Gerald of Leesville (jerryn at houston.rr.com - 281.773.7922). Refreshments will be provided at the circle.
Static arts will be on a loch, or water, theme. Documentation is encouraged.
