To All Gentles:

A Weekend Full of Events awaits Ansteorra October
24-26.  If you would enjoy a relaxed, event full of
good company and good cooking, I would ask you
consider this one.

The Shire of Tempio cordially invites all to attend to
celebrate with us and His Majesty...

Samhain Stew

Come prepared to partake and prepare some of the
heartiest and best cooking in the Kingdom as well
celebrate the Harvest Season.

We will host our traditional cooking competition in 3
categories.
1.  Stone Soup - bring ingredients and barter with
others, the ingredients needed to prepare your entry.

2.  Period Dish - Documented period dish

3.  Anything you like - Your favorite dish, period or
otherwise!

ALL ENTRIES MUST BE PREPARED ON SITE.  FEAST WILL
CONTAIN THE CONTEST ENTRIES. Although if you would
like to contribute to the feast, it is welcome...

PRIZES INCLUDE DUTCH OVENS AND ROASTING SPITS!

We will also have the following to entertain.
A Chivlaric Tournament
Archery
Knife Axe and Spear
Period Games Pavillion sponsored by Palace Athene
A Bardic with the theme of ghostly, or otherworldly.
A Middle Eastern Dance class sponsored by the talented
HL Brigit
Barter Bags Game

Merchants will be welcome, with no fee.

Site fee is $7 for adults, $4 for ages 10-16, and
under 10 free.  Feast is included with the site...
Site opens at 5pm on Friday and closes noon on Sunday.
Site is wet in period containers, Underage drinking
will not be allowed.

Directions to the site: (Belton Use Area)
>From I-35, take Exit 294 (Belton, 6th St.)proceed west
on 6th street 0.5 miles to intersect Hwy 317 (Main
Street)and turn north (right).  Go 1.5 miles to the
intersection with Hwy 439 and turn west (left) and
proceed 2 miles to the site (just beyond the
intersection with Hwy 2217).
