Come join the Barony of Bjornsborg as it hosts a tournament of the four
leading schools of the Art of the Rapier. The Masters of England, France, Italy and
Spain will test your weapons skill to determine your worthiness as a Provost
in the Bjornsborg Academy of Defense. The tournament will have both adult and
youth rapier. The tournament will have 5 parts, so everyone will get more than
enough fighting time. Armor inspection will start at 8 am with Field roll
call starting at 9am. Rounds are as follows:
" In field challenges, Masters of each country will set up pairs within their
field.
" During the Field vs. Field challenges, Masters will set up matches between
their country and another. (Gulf War champion tourney style)
" Masters Challenge
" Training Scenarios are fun little ways of testing your ability of handling
a rapier.
" The Grand Melee will pit the newly chosen Provosts against the rest of the
field.
Please send your Letters of Intent to fight in the tourney to the
Baron and Baroness of Bjornsborg by February 20th.

Artisans are challenged to apply their skills to the theme of the Academy of
Defense, and are also invited to create a Mystery, a period object that will
keep the populace guessing as to its purpose and function!
Come to fight and display, stay to feast at the Inn serving fine cuisine from
each of the four countries.
Tentative Feast Menu:
Italy: Vegetable Soup
Spain: Chicken in Almond Sauce
France: Fruit pie
England: Bread, cheese, pickled eggs

Seventy-five prepaid feast reservations are available. Mail your
reservations to: Barony of Bjornsborg, PO Box 2386, Universal City, TX 78148. Please
include the names (Society and mundane) and feast fees for all persons you are
reserving a feast for.
Site Rules:
" Absolutely no dogs allowed on site (except for service animals) by order of
the owners.
" Ground fires must be attended at all times.
" Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. They may also
attend with a 21 year or older adult with a signed and notarized Minor Event
Waiver Form from the parents.
" Site is wet. Drinking by minors will not be tolerated and may result in
removal from the event.
Site will open at White Water Sports in Sattler, TX, on Friday, February 27th
at 4 pm, and will close on Sunday, February 29th at 12 pm.
