Greetings Unto All of Ansteorra,
Our theatrical season has come to a conclusion with the final performance
of "The Merry Wives of Windsor" at the recent Loch Guardian event. And while
I was unable to see the actual performance, I heard that it was another
triumph for the players whom I employ. In spite of what various members of
that troupe - The Baron's Men - might have said, I *was* truly present at
the event this last weekend. You may check the event rolls that were kept by
the gate guard if you do doubt me. I was not present for the actual
performance because I took a misfortunate turn and got my wagon stuck fast
in the mud at the far back of the event site. When I finally made my way
clear of the muck, I stumbled into the Cock and Pie tavern where that
Stephen Tapster rogue and his bar wench made me quite drunk and I fell
asleep under the bar. All that I remember of the performance was the hooting
of some actor that sounded remarkably like an owl. (Odd fellowes, those
actors.)
However, it is not my purpose to prose on about my mishaps, but to thank the
very kind and generous souls who patroned the troupe and my theatre this
season and made this production of The Merry Wives of Windsor possible.
Therefore on behalf of myself and of The Baron's Men, I wish to extend a
most heartfelt thanks to the following gentles:
Lady Niccola Setaro
Lady Katherine Brandon
Caitlin nan Cnoc Airghead
Mistress Hillary Greenslade
Baroness Michelle Chantal de Charente & Sir Asoph Hearts
Lady Lessa
Their Excellencies Sir Godwin of Eddington and Mistress Ellisena de Bayonne
Master Michael Silverhands
Master Ivarr Runemagi
Their Royal Magesties Miguel & Conol
A great many people did also donate money to the troupe at the Cock and Pie
tavern, and to them I also give great thanks, though I'm not entirely
certain what that shifting tapster did with the money. I can most honestly
say that our productions could not happen without our precious patrons and
supporters and we truly thank thee one and all.
I remain,
Adam Seymour
