Greetings unto the members of the Society:

As you are probably aware, last year the Directors called for bids for a
Society Fortieth Anniversary Event. The bid deadline, originally set for
April 1, 2004, was extended to October 1, 2004. 

Unfortunately, the Society Seneschal received no viable bids for the event
by the extended deadline, and has recommended to the Board that the deadline
not be extended yet again. The Board concurred with this recommendation.

Therefore, there will be no SCA-sponsored Fortieth Anniversary event.
