The Barony of Bryn Gwlad and Shire of Tir Medoin invite you to the
first Equestrian College, April 22-24, 2005!

Not an experienced rider?
Don't have a horse?
Not sure what to do with the kids?
Would really rather spend the day fighting?

Don't worry, we have a class for you!!!

Authorized riders can participate in mounted classes that include
Jousting, Mounted Archery authorizations, Boffer Crest Combat
tips-n-tricks, and a class on performing the Ballet du Cheval. For
those more interested in fighting, consider the hands-on classes taught
by Earl Brion Thornbird ap Rhys on Equestrian Combat in Historical
Manuscripts and Ground Work with Sword and Short Lance. Fighters are
also welcome to bring armor for pick-ups. If you're new to horses or
have children, consider learning the basics at Horses and Horsemanship
101, or Introduction to SCA games. For the children, there is even a
special Shrek stick horse quest!

For the full class list, additional site information and to register
for classes, please visit eqcollege.swordworks.org.

Site (Royal Equus Farms near Taylor, Texas) opens at 3pm on the 22nd
and closes at 3pm on the 24th. Classes run from 9-5 on Saturday, with
an hour break for lunch (pre-order from Jason’s Deli online at
eqcollege.swordworks.org). Dinner will be off-site at a local pizza
parlor. Sunday morning, authorized Intermediate and Advanced riders can
enjoy a trail ride on almost 300 acres.

Please contact the Event Stewards, Lady Bridget Rede of Dunvegan
(Jennifer Jobst) 512-413-3418, or
Lady Mariah Angelique of Rosehaven (Michelle Caddel) 512-917-4963,
with any questions.

We look forward to seeing you!
