Proposed Change to By-Laws VI.L – Board of Directors/Committees

By-Laws VI.L. currently reads:

The Board may designate one or more committees to serve at the pleasure of 
the Board. These committees shall serve as advisory bodies, and shall not 
exercise the authority or power of the Board.

The Board feels that its committees should be subject to the same membership 
requirements as other officers, and therefore proposes the following 
addition to By-Laws VI.L.:

The Board may designate one or more committees to serve at the pleasure of 
the Board. These committees shall serve as advisory bodies, and shall not 
exercise the authority or power of the Board. Like all Officers of the SCA, 
committees designated by the Board are subject to the requirements set forth 
in Section II.C of the Corporate Policies of the SCA.

Interested parties should provide their commentary to the Directors no later 
than October 31, 2006. Comments may be sent via e-mail to comments at sca.org 
or directors at sca.org. Comments may also be sent to the SCA’s corporate 
office at P.O. Box 360789, Milpitas, CA 95036-0789.
