The Stones of Ravens Fort for
Defender of the Fort XXIV
September 15-17, 2006
Their Sable Winged Excellencies,
Brian du Val and Fionna ni Cheallaigh do invite one and all to come and witness the competitions for selecting their new Baronial Champions in the fields of Chivalric Combat, Rapier Combat, Archery, Equestrian, Arts and Sciences, and Bardcraft.
A sumptuous Mediterranean feast will be prepared and served. The menu includes:
Roasted Garlic
Stuffed Fried Eggs
Dolmadakia (Stuffed grape leaves)
Tzatkziki (cucumber sauce)
Saganaki (period fried cheese)
Fetes Vodines Se Peta (period Gyro)
Soupa Avgolemono (chicken soup w/ lemon and egg)
Pastitsio (baked pasta w/beef dish)
Spanakorizo (spinach with orzo)
Loukoumades (sweet fried fritters)

Site Fee: Adult $9, Child aged 6-12 years $5, Under 5 free. A Non-member charge of $3 will be applied for all Adults without proof of SCA membership.

Defender of the Fort will be held at the Stones of Ravens Fort near Huntsville, TX.
Please remember The Stones of Ravens Fort is a Primitive Site.
Site opens at 4:00 pm on Friday, September 15, and closes at 12:00 noon on Sunday, September 17, 2006
Directions: Take your best route to Huntsville, TX. On EAST Hwy 190(1.2 miles EAST of Huntsville city limits) turn SOUTH onto FM 2929 (aka Four Notch Road) drive 4 miles to intersection with FM 2296*drive straight through onto white gravel road. Go 1.3 miles and cross concrete bridge. Take immediate LEFT through RED GATE onto site. Watch for SCA signs!
Period containers for all beverages
Per site request all mammals MUST have WRITTEN proof of current rabies vaccination.
Horses must have written proof of a negative Coggins test.
Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. They may also attend with a 21 year or older adult with a signed and notarized Minor Event Waiver Form from the parents.
