[Ansteorra-announce] The Canton of Chemin Noir's Fair of the Harvest

 Greetings unto the most stellar Kingdom of the Sable Star.

 In the far north of our mighty kingdom as a sentinel upon the border stands
the Canton of Chemin Noir they are the last bastion of Ansteorran
hospitality and pride before crossing over into foreign lands. This small
outpost is held by a brave host of the biggest-hearted Ansteorrans one might
ever meet. This weekend (November 9-11) the small but happy band in Chemin
Noir have called for a fair to celebrate their harvest.and so they shall
have it. Come then and join the Canton of Chemin Noir as the celebrate the fall 
harvest and enjoy the fruits of their labor and sacrifice protecting this kingdoms
Northern most borders. The Fair of the Harvest shall offer all one might
expect of a fine Ansteorran celebration and so much more.


Oh yes there will be fighting, where the bravest may come to test their
mettle against the best the North has to offer, there will be arts and
sciences to thrill the eye. There will be bardic to raise the roof of the
hall, there will be archery, and the hurling of axes..but this is not all
that Chemin Noir has to offer. There will be an onsite bread baking
competition where the most period bread could take home the prize. All
entries must be made without using the camp's kitchen. Imagine the whole
camp site smelling of fresh baked bread.bread is one the fruits of the grain
and a sign of a good harvest. The celebration does not end there, the best
brewer's from all across the Northern Region will gather together at the
Fair of the Harvest to share the secrets of their art with us all. Again the
fruit of the grain shall be shared in honor of Chemin Noir and their
harvest. As the culmination of celebration there will be a fall harvest
themed feast where your pallet will be satisfied and your belly comfortably
filled. Chemin Noir has so much to offer it would be a pity not to attend
and share in the joy that only a small event like this can provide.

One might fear the autumn chill but not at The Fair of the Harvest which
boasts a hall with two large blazing fireplaces, not to mention hot showers,
and of course all the good belly warming drinks of the brewers. There is
expected to be a lot of singing around the fire mixed with fun, frivolity,
revelry, and good old Ansteorran camaraderie. So please visit the
wonderful people of the Canton of Chemin Noir at their Fair of the
Harvest this weekend (November 9-11) at the Will Rogers Scout Ranch in
