Good Gentles All;
You are most cordially invited to our humble Keep for an evening of
Dance, Game, Song, Cooking, and Sport. We welcome all, European or
Saracen, with activities throughout our evening inspired by both
mother Europe and the exotic East. Though the Holy Lands have grown
more tumultuous following the first crusade, we are confident that our
strong walls will keep us safe. Even if we should fall under attack,
our pleasant diversions will occupy us throughout any siege. If you
are untrained in the fine arts of passing the time, fear not.
Instructors of music, dance, games, and other arts will be provided.
Arrangements have been made for your rest and repast, so please plan
to spend the night with us. Our only regret is that our cellars are
not well stocked. Please bring what spirits you desire to make merry.
Yours In Good Humor,
Lord Bastian Eisengart, Event Steward

We offer this event, set in the middle east in the early 1200's(-ish),
as an opportunity to experience some persona-play in a laid back and
most forgiving atmosphere. The Keep is currently in the hands of
egalitarian European nobility, who graciously open there doors to all
peaceful visitors, regardless of the nationality.

Activities will include...

A grand ball to celebrate the evening and distract from our troubles.
Dance classes will be taught earlier in the day, so don't worry if you
can't dance, yet.

A pair of Game tournaments, featuring period games and rules; floor
games, such as a haunted maze; and open table gaming, All from the
mind of Sir Rhodri ap Gwythyr

A Shadowlands favorite, the Scavenger Hunt Quest, this year featuring
scavengers.

Murder, most fowl! A mystery that must be solved by the guests.

A unique and entertaining siege cooking contest dreamed up by Master
Francois la Flamme. Any and all are welcome and able to enter,
regardless of skill or previous experience at period cooking.

A late-night sideboard to refresh and recharge.

Classes on some of the fine ways to pass the time.

A fine breakfast Feast prepared fresh and hot by Lord Paedric OMullan.

A competition to select the finest performer.

And of coarse, the special Shadowlands touch that ensures good stories to tell.

The site opens at 12:32 on Saturday the 12th, and closes at 10:00
Sunday the 13th. Activities are scheduled throughout the night so
please plan on staying if you can (were under siege after all). Those
who need to leave early can be spirited out on occasion, so don't fret
if you can only attend for part of the night.

Site Fees:
Adults - $12
Minors - $6
Breakfast Feast - $3
