The populace of Glaslyn invites you to come compete for the titles of Artisan Keeper or Defender of the Flame for Arts & Sciences in a body of work competition consisting of 3 or less pieces. 
The Archers of the Central Region invite you to join them in a roundtable discussion. Come enjoy classes! We have a wide variety of classes for A&S. We have a few for the Heavy and Boffer fighters as well! Site Fee: $5 all persons 12yrs old and up; 11yrs & under are free. There is a $5 non-member fee if applicable. Make checks payable to: SCA Inc./Canton of Glaslyn. Lunch: The Chick-Fil-A along with the Underground Cafeteria (all you can eat) inside the Student Union will be available for lunch till 1:30pm, but there are many places available for lunch near the campus along US 380 (University Drive). Class description: This class will take about several options of easy to make garb for those new to the SCA as well as those who want to try something new. We will discuss the requirements for each style and approximate costs. Special instructions: handouts will be available for donation The History of Weaving and Looms Instructor: HL Saqra al-Kudsi Class runtime: 50 min. 
Class size limit: 15 
Class description: lecture, with slide show on the history of weaving and looms. Covers from pre-history to SCA period, with emphasis on types of fabrics woven on each loom. 
Special instructions: Basic Corset Instructor: Moira Class runtime: 50 min. 
Class description: The technique to creating the simplest pattern available to make a late-period corset will be presented. This pattern can be made to fit any shape or size. Bring craft paper to make your own pattern on site. Handouts will be provided. Introduction to Origami Instructor: Ryan Sage Gibson Class runtime: 50 min. 
Class description: This is a basic origami class that will briefly cover the history of origami, Japanese paper-folding, and three items for students to make. Handouts will be provided. Documentation 101 Instructor: Mistress Hanna Van Dahl Class runtime: 50 min

Class description: Ever been baffled by what to include and what counts as documentation for your A&S display? This class will help dispel myths and show you clear steps to impressive documentation. Basic Soldering Instructor: Silvias the Fop Class runtime: 50 min. 
Class size limit: 15 
Class description: This class will cover the basics of silver soldering non-ferrous metals and walk students through the preparation of metal, safety, and types of soldering techniques possible. Students will be allowed to give it a try if time allows. Basic Archery Equipment-What you should know before you go to the store. Class instructor: Don Sebastian Frobishire Class runtime: 2 hrs

Class description: A discussion group on what it means to be a fighter in the SCA, what’s expected and the culture, an encouragement to artistic pursuits Basic field heraldry Instructor: Captain Kirk Class runtime: 50 min

Class description: The 5w’s on how to avoid, prevent and immediately treat injuries, conditions and identify when a fighter needs emergency care.
