Baron and Baroness of Raven’s Fort request the pleasure of your
company as they celebrate the arts and sciences.
Artisans
of the Fort and Raven’s Tourney
September 20-22, 2013 at
the Stones of Raven’s Fort in Huntsville, TX (V-Bar Ranch)

Arts and Sciences (Artisan
of the Fort), Brewing/Vintning (Bräumeister of the Fort), and Bardic
(Ravenskald) competitions will be held. Minimal documentation is
required—Mistress Radegund of Tours will also conduct a workshop on
writing documentation. Please contact Mistress Radegund
(clternus at sbcglobal.net) for
any questions about documentation.
Chivalric, rapier,
equestrian, and archery tournaments will also take place. Entrants in
each of these tournaments must either enter one of the arts and
sciences competitions or be sponsored by an entrant in one of those
competitions. Set-up for all competitions and armor inspection will
begin at 9:00 a.m.
	* No feast will be served at this event.. The Black Unicorn Tavern will purvey their goods on site. Please plan accordingly
	* The Stones of Raven’s Fort site will open at 5:00 pm on Friday and close at 12:00 pm on Sunday.
	* Gate will be open from 5:00 pm Friday to 12:00 am Saturday, then re-open from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday.
	* All attending must sign in either at the gate or with the Event Steward after Gate closes on Saturday.
	* All attending must have their site token with them at all times.  
	* Site Fees: Adult (18+): $10.00 * Teens 12−17: $8.00 * Kids 6-11: $5.00 * Children 0−5: Free * Non−Member Surcharge is $5.00
	* Please make checks payable to “SCA Inc., Barony of Raven’s Fort”
	* To get to the Stones of Raven’s Fort:
(30d 39' 10.02" N, 95d 26' 24.27" W)  
Take I−45 to Huntsville, Texas.  Go east on U.S. 190 through town.  Turn right onto FM 2929 (south).  After crossing  
FM 2296, go past the railroad tracks & around a long curve.  Immediately after crossing the low concrete bridge turn  
left into the gate of the V−Bar Ranch & the Stones of Raven’s Fort... look for the SCA signs.
	* Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  They may also attend with a 21 year or older adult with a signed and notarized Minor Event Waiver Form from the parents.  The Stones of Raven’s Fort is a primitive site with barrel water and Port−a−Cans.  
Please bring your own drinking water.  Campfires will be allowed if wet weather permits. * Pets are allowed on leashes with written proof of current rabies vaccination.  Pets are not to be left unattended.  Horses must show written proof of negative Coggins Test. * Posted site rules & mundane laws will be enforced. * You must be 21 or older to drink alcohol. * We appreciate attendees’ help in keeping our site clean. * Merchants are more than welcome.

Stellar Kingdom of Ansteorra do I, Lord Stephan Wilhelm Steger send
greetings.

The time draws ever near that their Excellencies of
the Barony of Raven's Fort shall seek their new Braumeister.

If
it would be you to answer this call and vie to replace me then ready
thy libations and refine thine manner of purveyance for they shall
truly be judged at Artisans of the Fort and Raven's Tourney held
September 20th - 22nd.

Judging will be done using the IKBG
Judges sheet. Minimum documentation required will be the list of
ingredients. More in depth documentation is greatly suggested but not
required. Participants will be required to roll play and interact
with the Judges the serving of the entry or entries. The scenario
will be at the discretion of the entrant. Any props or materials
needed will be supplied by the entrant. Roll play and creativity will
be for bonus points added to the final score of your entry.

MINIMAL
DOCUMENTATION IS REQUIRED. 

This means:

BUT NOT TO
WORRY - If you would 
like improve your documentation, there will
be a documentation workshop 
Saturday morning. Bring your item and
your sources and learn from 
Mistress Radegunde and her
documentation crew, how to arrange your 
information in the best
way possible for competition.  THE DOCUMENTATION WORKSHOP IS
+NOT+ REQUIRED.

Judging will be done using a scaled 
down
version of the Kingdom Static Judging Sheets. Entrants who are on 
site are encouraged but not required to accompany a judge for at
least 
one entry (not their own). This enables entrants to learn
what really 
happens during judging.

Fighters: you must
either enter one of the competitions or have an artisan sponsor you
with an entry in one of the competitions.
