Greetings Ansteorra! Laurels Prize Tourney will be upon us soon, hosted by
the most excellent Barony of Loch Soilleir, on Saturday, September 13th, in
Kemala, TX.

LPT is an arts event where artisans bring displays of the projects,
finished or ongoing, to talk to other people excited by medieval,
medieval-esque or SCA art. Laurels, other artisans, or just interested
on-lookers talk to one another, s...hare feedback, and just plain get
excited by the arts in Ansteorra and the SCA. Never competed or shown
before? Not a problem - despite the "Tourney" in the name, LPT is not a
competition. There may be side competitions, but they are unofficial. My
favorite was Mistress Claire RosMuire St. John's "Best use of a sheep"
competition that was won by now-Mistress Lucia's sheep stew.

Bring your pieces for feedback, or your displays. Talk about your chosen
medium/media, or discover something new.

How? If you want to be assured of space for your display, send the

Type of art and any info about it you would like to include
Table space requested, 1 table maximum, unless artisan is bringing his or
her own tables.
Special needs requested (electricity, wall space, space for dress dummies,
near window, etc.)

Registration deadline is Aug 30, however artisans will be accepted up to
the day of the event, PENDING SPACE. (Display space is guaranteed up to Aug
30.)

SPECIAL NOTE: Alcohol is not allowed in the Community Center, due to
unaffordable security requirements. However, we are working on an
alternative for our brewers, vinters, and mazers. Stay tuned!
