[Ansteorra-announce] Crown Tournament Information

Greetings, Ansteorra!

Crown Tournament will be held on January 14, 2017, and will be hosted by
the Shire of the Shadowlands. Information on registration, format, and
entry requirements are below.

PRE-REGISTRATION AND LETTERS OF INTENT

All entrants into Crown Tourney must pre-register at
http://seneschal.ansteorra.org/crown_tourney/ no later than one week prior
to Crown. If you have any issues with pre-registration, please contact the
Kingdom Seneschal.

TRM Jason and Margherita are also requiring letters of intent, which should
be delivered to them via email at crown at ansteorra.org, also no later than
one week prior to Crown.

FORMAT

To show the prowess of our would-be king with multiple weapon styles, Their
Majesties have decreed that the format for Crown Tourney is as follows:

All but the possible last two rounds will be best two-of-three combat. For
the first two points of each round, bring your best weapons. If there is a
3rd point, it will be decided with choppas.

The first round will be challenge up. The second round will be challenge
down.

There will be normal pairings after that, leading to either a round robin
or a final two. In the case of a round robin, single fights will be held
until any one of the 3 fighters suffers two losses. In this round, fighters
can bring their best styles.

The finals will be best three-of-five combat with these styles as follows
in order:

1. Sword and shield

2. Two weapon

3. Bastard Sword

4. Great Weapon

5. Spear

Choppas will be provided, but gauntlets will not, so bring your own. If you
have any questions as to what constitutes a choppa, feel free to contact
His Majesty.

REQUIREMENTS
