[Ansteorra-announce] Gulf War XXX Pre Registration now open

Greetings Mighty Ansteorra,
As we head into the Yule Time, we need to look to the east to the swamps of Trimaris. Something has crawled from the mud and moves toward Gleann Abhann.
Pre-registration is open for Gulf War XXX , March 12 – 20, in Hattiesburg MS.
ALL Pre Registrations will CLOSE February 15, 2022
We are moving to the new SCARS (SCA Registration System) instead of PayPal for online registration. This system has the advantage that you make the payment at the time of registration instead of waiting for a separate invoice. It is the same system used to purchase SCA memberships. Members will use the same account they used to purchase their membership. Non members will need to create a new account, but they do not need to purchase a membership. Multiple people, both members and non members can be put on a single order.  Also, site booklets will be available for purchase through the registration system.

Early Registration by paper form and check or money order must be postmarked by February 1, 2022. No paper forms postmarked after February 1, 2022 will be accepted. Early registration by SCARS will be charged at the discounted price. All registrations made by February 15, 2022 and not refunded will count in land allotments.

Everyone camping with Ansteorra will need to be with a group. Most people camp with their local groups or in household groups. All groups need a minimum of 10 people and someone to volunteer to be the land coordinator for the group.
Duties of a land coordinator include;

  *   First on the site and last off the site
  *   Prepping the land for camping (fire ant treatment, brush clearing)
  *   Laying out the camp set up
  *   Filling in trenches, sump holes and moving left over fire wood
