[Ansteorra-announce] Gulf Wars Thank You

[Queen of Ansteorra]

Wow, what an incredible Gulf War! Ansteorra's jewel shone from so many
facets. To highlight just a few:

• An Ansteorran won War Bard

• An Ansteorran won A&S

• Many Ansteorrans won their bouts in the Champions Tourney

• An Ansteorran won the Meridian Rose Tournament

• An Ansteorran won the Ansteorran Rose Tournament

• The team with Ansteorrans won the Youth Combat Melee Tournament

• If there was a shopping war point, I’m pretty sure Ansteorra would have
won that too. :)



While all these accomplishments are impressive, there are many more
successes behind the scenes that made it possible for all of us to have a
great time.


Our heartfelt thanks to:

• *TRMs of Trimaris, Yoan & Ètaín*, for the ease in negotiating and
compromising both our kingdoms made to set the tone of competitiveness and
friendship throughout the war. It was a true pleasure spending time with
you to emphasize our united message that we can come together and support
each other in competition and fun.

• *Sir Asoph and team* for taking care of Ansteorra’s land needs in a year
when space was at a premium, and all the work you and your team did before
we arrived on site.

• *Maestro Vincenti and team* for all the clean up work you did to make
Ansteorra gates look the best they possibly could, and making sure the
wasps were eradicated from the gate towers before day one of the war.

• *Duchess Margherita, Countess Michelle, and Mistress Adena (Royal
Liaisons) *who took care of every request for the Royalty of the Knowne
World. Your transport service was invaluable to making sure we got to
places on time. Plus the royal gift bags you created were lovely and
useful.

• *Knowne World Party Staff:* We had an astounding group come together to
rock the party. Many, many thanks to this fantastic group: Baron Goldweard
(Gaming Coordinator), HL Captain Savage (Teardown Coordinator), Mistress
Elsa (Food & Beverage Coordinator), Centurion Alexandre (Centurion Bar
Coordinator), Lord Singe ("Designated Deliverers" Coordinator), Centurion
Charles (Security Coordinator), Baroness Dominique (Lighting Coordinator),
and, of course, Hersirkona Kolfinna, who took responsibility for the whole
party and drove it into something wonderful.

• *Mistress Adelaide (Ansteorra Liaison) and team* for making sure the BFT
was set up, decorated, always clean, and filled with coffee and hot water
for all.

• *Caterina and Johann (Chili Night Cooks/Coordinators)* for making
Ansteorra Chili Night such a success. Bellies were full with delicious
chili and much merriment in socializing was had because of your efforts to
make chili night happen.

• *Sir Martel (Armored War General) *for your time and energy to make the
Ansteorran army very competitive and making the army want to fight so hard
for you and Ansteorra.

• *Don Facon (Rapier War General) *for taking the reins and running with it
in such a short period of time. You did a wonderful and successful job.
Under your leadership, we noticed an incredible amount of collaboration and
cohesiveness on the rapier field.

• *Honorable Lady Silvana (Sable Scroll)* for getting scrolls done for all
the Queen’s Rapiers, Sable Falcons, and Sable Sparrows that were not
pre-planned but were needed for deserving individuals and their acts during
the war.

• *Sir Absolon (Golden Staff)* for handling the ever growing court docket,
and magically being there when we needed our herald on the field. Your
involvement in our courts raises them to the next level.

• *Baroness Lessandra (Royal Steward)* who always takes care of so much
more that we could ask for, it never ceases to surprise us. In addition to
handling the entourage schedule so we always had coverage from the moment
we set foot on site to the day we packed up and left, Lessandra was also
the land agent for Ansteorra Royal Camp and helped mark out all of
Ansteorra lands a couple days before war started. Plus she also saw a need
to support HRM of the West as entourage when due to distance, His Majesty’s
retinue was unable to attend the war. We can’t possibly list all the things
HE Lessandra handled/took care of during the months before the war, while
at war, and everything that needed to be done post war. You are the
foundation that our reign is built upon.

• *Everyone who took part as our entourage*. You ROCK! Thank you for
dedicating some of your time to spend with us. It was a pleasure hanging
out with you, while you contributed to the royal atmosphere. Plus Koia also
served as entourage for HRM of the West too because she saw a need and
filled it.

• *All the kingdoms of the Knowne World*. Whether it was fighting on the
field, watching tournaments together, socializing at parties/food courts,
taking a stroll down merchants row, or hanging out, we thank you for making
this Gulf Wars a wonderful experience. We all benefit from the friendship
and camaraderie shown to everyone and from everyone at Gulf Wars.
