[Ansteorra-announce] Kings Champion and Royal Blade Format

*Hear the Call to Arms, Ansteorra!*

This *Saturday at Coronation*, the lists shall open for two grand
tournaments to test the mettle and valor of our kingdom’s finest.

*King’s Champion Tournament*
All authorized fighters are invited to take the field and give their
all in *two
thirty-minute bear pits*. Each combatant shall earn *one point per fight*—win,
lose, or simultaneous blow—and must report their number of bouts before
returning to the list.
As numbers allow, *multiple pits* shall be opened or closed and fed from a
single line to keep the combat fierce and flowing.
Weapons are *fighter’s choice*, and all are welcome to demonstrate their
prowess and endurance before the Crown and kingdom.

*Royal Blade Tournament*
The format shall vary according to the number of entrants, but each fencer
should expect to fight *at least five single-pass bouts*—more if the list
is large.
Those who rise to the top shall advance to a *double-elimination bracket*,
with all bouts fought *best two of three* to determine the new *Royal Blade*
.
