Yes, but not all of us have your, er, liguistic skills or eloquance.

For those of us who are inclined to have things passed, I've discovered
two basic tricks to getting your submission through (from a few years
of observation).  The first is to take the device you want, and have it
drawn by an heradlic artist, and have it clearly and simply blazoned.
Don't worry if it doesn't look anything like you want, you can DRAW it
anyway you want when you are done.

Why bother, you ask?  So no one else can use your device, that's all.
If you don't care, don't bother.

Oh?  The other way?  It's been my observation that if you are persistant
and whine long enough, things will get passed. :)
