Dia duit!

Having read through all of this thread (that I've received thus far), I'd like
to make a general comment before I address specific posts.

I get the impression (perhaps mistaken) that some people feel their complaint
vis-a-vis the judging for the "Command Performance" is with the Crown. I do
not believe this to be the case.

The organization for the Arts & Sciences Competition is the responsibility of
the Kingdom Minister of Arts & Sciences (currently Master Thomas of Tenby).
The KMoAS may or may not consult the Crown, the Laurels, their Regional and
Branch MoASs, and/or the A&S community, as suits them.

I do not know who Thomas may have consulted, but I do know that:

 * I was approached at the Stargate Investiture by one of the event autocrats
who was concerned about the strictness of the entry requirements.

 * The Coastal Region MoAS (my wife) did not receive details until October 12.

I am fairly sure that the majority the Laurels, and the Crown, did not receive
details until the Laurel Circle that was held at Elfsea Defender. As I did
not attend that event, I am unable to comment on how discussions at that
Circle may have altered the original plan. Based on my past experience with
Crowns, I'm sure they relied on Thomas's judgement.

In any event, complaints about the organization of the Competition should be
addressed to Master Thomas (sere55a at prodigy.com). Complaining here may gain
you some sympathy, but will not reach anyone who can address those comlaints
(unless Thomas is lurking here. Pug?)
