I recall their being a bit more to it. Presenting the hand holding
the fruit indicated a hand kiss was in order. Taking a clove and
biting it indicated a kiss on the lips. Holding a clove between the
teeth or in the mouth indicated the presenter should...ah...orally
take the clove from the presentee's mouth.
