Also ... Is there any chance you would like your handout/article published in

Stargate's Ivory Tower?  This magazine is our annual Arts and Sciences 
publication and I've volunteered to publish this year's edition.  I plan to 
have the magazine ready for distribution at Stargate's 25th Baronial 
Anniversary event (September 1997).

Can anyone tell me if this annual Arts and Sciences issue is available to
people outside of Stargate? And if so, how much and how do I order? Also,
are backissues available?

I have often bought A&S issues of kingdom newsletters when I can find out
about them, as they are often a good introduction to new crafts and new
ideas. Unfortunately, the process is rather haphazard since there is no
clearinghouse for these kinds of publications. If anyone has any information
on additional, similar publications, I'd love to hear it.

Several years ago, there was an article in the East Kingdom A&S newsletter
on making wax writing tablets, I think by Arval. Sometime when I find the
time, I'm going to make one. These are the kind of articles I really like.

And while I'm up on this soapbox, I want to mention that I'm always looking
for A&S articles to place in my SCA Rialto Files. They can be previously
published but the author must give me permission to add them to my files
or have been published on a public network.
