One quibble here. I feel that if someone becomes a
competant SCA fighter then
the reflexes, timing, and mind control will take over
even in a street fight
with no weapons other than hands and feet. Most sword
shots can be easily converted
to empty hand. Blocks and voids are similar. Notice
that a lot of sword and shield
specialists are able to pick up just about any weapon
and be competant with it.

Just a thought.
