Actually, the way that NPR reported it was that the Celtics had recruited a 20
year old, 7'2" center from Ireland.  The best basketball player in the history
of Trinity College, and thus all of Ireland, in known history.  He had three
demands before he accepted.

1.  The franchise must change the pronounciation of it's name.  (Irish Gaelic is
his first language, it was quoted that he didn't feel the need to learn English
when he was a child.)

2.  He must be allowed to cross himself before each game and before free throws.

3.  The National Anthem must be sung in Gaelic before each game.  (they said
this might prove troublesome.  Apparently, "O, say can you see.." in Gaelic has
a word in it that sounds like an obscenity.)


The Celtics are desperate enough for a center that they agreed to his demands.
