Though I'm sure Mayne was writing mostly tongue in cheek (fingers in
armpits? ;->), I just wanted to add my 6 cents worth (you know, what with
inflation and all).

Talk about brave, just *going* to this last Gulf Wars (after watching the
weather forecasts day after day get colder and colder) let alone sitting
out in a booth all day required great gobs of bravery on my part. I have
a deep and abiding fear of being cold. We're talking downright
near-psychotic. I started merchanting at Estrella War years ago to help
finance the trip, and set up to merchant at Gulf Wars as well this year
just because Lyonel wanted to go (speaking of which, ya wanna modify part
of that statement we're all responding to, sweety? ;-> ).

Largess? I've never declined from donating to raffles and such when I
merchant. I even give free advice--you don't even need to ask!--on a
frequent basis. ;->

Pity for the weak? Shoot, I'll help you cross the street any day, Mayne!
All ya have to do is ask! <g>
