I started out wanting to be a viking owing to my heritage but the Barony I
started up in was full of viking-types so, being the contrary SOB I am, I was
still Swedish but a Crusader-type of around 1200 or so. Now I'm in the later
1300's for a few reasons. First is because I really like the armor, clothing,
and general attitude of the times. Also that time period is what I think of
when I think "Knights in shining armor and fair maidens" stuff.

My personna has now become a knight who makes his living by tourneying. This
explains why a Swede can be running around in German/English/Italian garb
and armor. Hey, I wear the best of what I capture. This time period is best
suited for someone to make a living this way.

Unfortunately I have neither the funds nor the ability to dress and house
my lady and myself in the proper manner, but we're working on it.

I think I could be flashy, rude, plain-spoken, silly, angry, noble, and
bouncy.  But I don't think I can pull off pompous. :-{)}

Yers,

Gunthar
