It's a kissing game.

Take a lemon. Prick it with a fork, running lines of holes lengthwise
down the lemon. Make the lines about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch apart. Put
a clove in each of the holes.

Present the lemon to a person of the opposite sex you wish to kiss. If
they are agreeable to the game, take a clove to sweeten your breath.
Give them the lemon. Kiss them. Then they get to go find some one to
kiss.

Courteously done, it can be a pleasurable dalliance. Predatorily done,
it can be a savage little piece of sadism.

To kiss and tell (a little), my wife told me that some of my
acquaintances at this game gave her their comments about my abilities in
dalliance before we got married. So one needs to be on ones best
behavior when one plays the game.
