ANST - Meetings and Volume at Steppes 12th Night

This was attempted but the acoustics were so bad that even this failed. To
hear, the relay herald (in the person of myself) had to stand so close to
the stage that the range of his voice would only have added another 20 feet
of audibility to the hall. Also, if you use the relay method, court would
be, say, 50% longer due to Pendaren waiting on the relay to finish before
moving on to his next order of business. People were also fussy about my
oafish form interrupting their view of the proceedings while I was
attempting to relay. The only relaying that I found productive was relaying
the names of people called forth who failed to hear it.

If we were to do it again, I would suggest the "No, really... draw even
nigher" approach and bring the interested populace all up to the first fifty
feet of the hall. This might seem crowded, but I think it's the only way to
insure that those that *want* to hear court *get* to hear court in that
environment without miking anyone.

A suggestion: those not interested in the proceedings (just at the event
for the circles, the elevations, and Gunthars cooking, eh?) might do well to
go to one of the other areas provided to be noisy and raise Cane... the bar
was free, the weather outside was pleasant, and the kitchen was in dire need
of leadership;)
