My suggestion for shortening court, which worked well for Cadi and I, is to
move the things that are not associated with awards to either feast or a
morning or afternoon court. There are a lot of things that we do in court
that are really directed at a select few gentles. Things such as taking of
squires or apprentices, announcements of mariages, and ivitations to other
events. All of these can be done just as well in morning or noon court.
Also, when a bardic or A&S championship is being held, limit the people
called into the main court to the overall winner. This shortens the court
and helps to highlight the person who has won. Winners for individual
catagories can be announced during the feast.

Lets keep the main evening court for the tournament/competition winners and
ALL awards. These gentles deserve the full attention of all of the populace.

Well, that is my two cents.
