I was sitting against the wall about halfway back.  Had it not been
for interference ranging from normal level conversations to full-
blown partying (including from those who, as indicated by the
wide metal circles on their heads, should have had more sympathy
for those onstage), I believe I would have been able to hear a good
deal more than the approximate 5% of court I was able to catch.
Moving closer to the front was not an option for me, as I was
near the wall by the necessity of *not* being stepped on.  (It
happens frequently in crowds such as that at 12th Nite.)

It is also, if I recall aright, the largest site within a practical
distance of the hosting group that carries less than a $1000 rental
fee.

The thought occurs that if the Kingdom would care to supplement
the Steppes' 12th Nite budget, even to the point of picking up hall
rental, a more suitable site could be had.
