I have been reading these discussions with the interest of someone who used to (and may yet again) fight.  I do not care whether my opponent wears full plate or Ansteorran minimum.  I would simply settle for getting the people into some resemblance of garb outside of their armor.  This means no tennis shoes, blue jeans, and visible tee shirts.
