I agree with Pug.  If people want to fuss about this sort of drek, they can
do so on the Rialto.  This is so clearly a biased opinion written to cause
harm, instead of a balanced view of the situation, that I am quite
surprised that the Aten Chronicler accepted it for publication.  It is not
clear whether the opening lines were written by the Chronicler or the
author of the letter, but neither one should have been surprised that
something like this was deemed inappropriate for publication in the Kingdom
newsletter.

    Rather appropriate in July 1998 as we have a heat emergency due
    to continuing triple-digit temperatures, and continuing drought.
       My tomato garden does not qualify for federal agricultural
     assistance -- and where are the storms and lower temperatures
      (down into the high 90's!) they were predicting for today?
