I absolutely DISagree. When engaged in combat, tournament or melee, when
bested by an opponent or besting an opponent, giving or RECEIVING is a
blast. Often, it also leaves a bruise, which in a very strange way makes it
even better. The flaw, which you so eliquently pointed out, in my prior post
was that I failed to be more specific about being killed by a non combatant
archer, leaving me cold (pun poke pun poke).

As much as I dislike being struck with an arrow, I would be greatly
disappointed to not have combat archery.

Being killed by a 'non-combatants' is like letting the house double their
odds which are already in the house's favor...

My intent was to suggest NOT having NON-combatant archers, if so, then we
would not be able to have this discussion on whether to hit them or not. I
don't believe for a nano-second that we will ever NOT have non-combatant
archers, however.

On the archers behalf, it is not their fault they are smart enough to NOT
enjoy premeditated bludgeoning, that we/I need those who will put their
equipment on the line to provide the historical (hysterical was great by the
way) aspect of the game, that they tend to be thinner and slighter in nature
than my overgrown arse (fat ass), and that they can still move their thinner
slighter bodies in armor faster than I will ever be able to do again with or
without armor. These things are NOT their fault.

So, I will quit swimming up stream now.
