I suggest that replying privately if you disagree with someone would reduce our
chances of learning about opposing opinions.  If you are fighting with someone,
though, private is the best.
I also suggest that although intent might be noble, it's important not to fall
into similar or worse patterns of behavior than you are condemning, in the
process of condemning it.
