*excellent* examples ... particulary the adulteration of coin metals ... these 
tend to show periods of economic and political decline within medieval and 
ancient cultures .... 

similar to the witchcraft point, would be the albigension (sp?) crusade, when a 
whole christain people were marked for obliteration under the charges of heresy 
and their properties siezed and re-allocated to church favorites ....

now anyone who makes water in *my* milk is going to have to deal with a very 
PO'd wolfling ....
