if i'm following the thread correctly, the date change was done to allow the 
*hosts* of the events to offer the event ... basic rules of hospitality require 
honoring your hosts requirements and not trying to impose your (guest's) 
requirements upon them .....  

alternative solution, locate and develop suitable alternative sites that are 
not bound by those requiements.   perhaps one in ansteorra and one in trimaris 
and alternate the site each year, and let the hosts for that year set the 
ground rules (such a in-kingdom site would be exceptonally useful year round 
...)
