Hello, this is Brian du Val the current liaison for the S.C.A at the Texas Renaissance Festival (TRF). As you may know we have a large compound at the TRF site. This weekend was the first of seven that we share the S.C.A. with the mundane patrons. We had a great time on the battle mound and in the compound at booth #232. We had Arts and Sciences displays, Bardic performances, Skittles games, both light and heavy tournaments in the compound and plenty of patrons to share information with about the S.C.A.
I would like to thank the Barony of Star Gate for all the hard work that done by their Group and all the member of the Kingdom who helped support the demo. Lady Klare mette Katten did a wonderful job as autocrat for the weekend. I would also like to thank H.L. Suzanne for all she has done with the scrolls and calligraphy in the compound. Allot of members have worked hard to get the compound ready for the new season and I am happy to see the Kingdom supporting the demo each week. Please keep up the good work and come out and show the patrons the best of who we are and what we do.
