ANST - What is a Peer?

Greetings and Hi There,

This method will work. However, when I was Middleford's herald (twice), I
found it much easier to maintain an up to date OP with all the awards list
for the Shire. It takes a little while to get it straight, but once it is
you can tell at a glance who has what and when they got it.

So. Since it is easy to keep track of and there seems to be several
effective ways of doing it, why do we still end up with folks you go for so
long without getting recognition?

Someone recieving an award is a multiple step process. It just doesn't
Pooof and it's there. Knowing who has what is great. Being able to
identify who needs what is also important. But the Crown will never have
the opportunity to approve or disapprove the award if someone doesn't write
up the recommendation first.

And there in lies the rub. It tends to be human nature to not want to do
this sort of thing.
Folks will say, "I can't write an award recommendation. I don't know what
to say." But if you ask them what so n so has done to deserve the award,
my goodness, they rattle off all sorts of stuff. Just write it down in
your own words and it will be just fine.

And like HG Willow said, it might not get given the first time. So try it
again the net event.
