All blacksmiths in the Houston area are invited to participate in the 2nd
Annual Oldenburg Hammerfest. The event is in conjunction with the Round Top
Antique Show. Previous antique shows have attracted over 200,000 visitors to 
the
rapidly growing event. Facilities at the Oldenburg Hammerfest are freely
available to smiths to bring their forges to produce items for sale and no
commission fees are required. This event is held twice yearly on the first
weekend of October and April. In 1999 this falls on October 2-3.

located approximately 70 miles west of Houston, near La Grange. The host club
for the event is the Houston Area Blacksmiths Association,
