ANST - Royal Huntsman

Greetings,

Archery must be separate for safety, true. Sometimes it's easy to notice
archery because of this, I once returned to my tent to find it feet from the
ropes of an archery field. I'm glad Ansteorran archers aim true! This need
for space may drive the absence of archery at some events, or perhaps there
is not a strong archery contingent in the sponsoring groups who could plan
and coordinate archery.

Please don't take offense at comments on archery. If only archers should
comment, maybe the discussion should occur elsewhere. For an activity to
receive the recognition that it greatly deserves, people other than
enthusiasts must take an interest, so welcome interest. Rapier fighters in
particular may be interested, because there are parallels.

I hope I haven't offended, but that's the risk of discussion. I hope
archery gains the recognition you want for it. I know that rapier
enthusiasts in the Midrealm wore green scarves to show their support for
their activity. Perhaps some visible show of support like this would reveal
the devotion and following archery has and would be easier than carrying
your bows.

Hawkins
