WARMEST GREETINGS TO ALL CHIURURGEONS FOR ESTRELLA WAR XVI........

We are looking forward to a safe and merry war.  This year, Mistress Elspeth and
myself are co-autocrating the Chirurgeon area.  I will be in charge of
patient care, and Elspeth will be there to keep everything running smooth
with all of her expertise and past experience.  Please bring a copy of your
current CPR certification, First Aid, and warrant to leave with us for our records.
Chirurgeon's Point will be in the same location as last year.  There will
be a shift roster available at Chirurgeon's Point.  Please sign up for
shifts at your earliest convienence.  We would like to make sure we have a
least two Chirurgeons on each shift so that if one has to leave to get a patient,
the other will be available at the tent to assist others.

We don't anticipate some of the "challenges" we faced last year.  This
year the site has been improved and I saw it today and it was nice and
green.  The first year on a new site always is a challenge.  We have spent
much time discussing some of the things that were not as smooth as we
would have liked last year.  Although there will always be new unique
things to work through, I am confident we can do a good job and provide a
safe time for all.

We will be having an orientation meeting on Thursday afternoon at 4pm in
Chirurgeon's tent.  Please attend if possible as we will be covering many
things that we all need to be aware of.  If you can not attend, let me
know and I will arrange to meet with you at another time.  We will also be
meeting each day at Chirurgeon's point during the armor inspection time.
Please don't be late as we need the time to pair up, discuss where we are
going to stage, talk about radio communication, and get us transported to
the fighting area before the fighting begins.  This year the "Pit" area is
almost twice as big, so we need to discuss some of the complications this
could cause us.

We welcome Chirurgeons of all levels.  Even those who think they would
like to learn.  There is a place for all to serve!
