ANST - Assorted Heavy Questions

I just got started into the wonderful world of SCA
heavy combat, and I have a couple of simple questions.
When considering answers, keep in mind that I live in
the Austin area, so locals would be best.

Where is the best place to get greatsword hilts?

Where is the best place to get shield baskets?

What is the best way to weight the balance of a
weapon, i.e. weighted pommel?

I could probably figure these out on my own, but there
isn't really a need to reinvent the wheel when there
are so many people who have already figured this sort
of thing out.
