ANST - Queen's Champion Gate Sign-in

Along with His Excellency Gunthar, I'm afraid that I must admit to failure
in this also. When we drove up Saturday morning, there was no one at the
usual spot for gate. Naturally, we were running late for the list (when are
we not running late for the list!), so we went on in to get set up and
signed in, intending to find who was taking care of gate and pay for our
entrance fees later. Needless to say, it completely slipped my mind for the
remainder of the day. If your Grace will send me an address and remind me
of the amount owed, I will be happy to send you a check for me and my
companion. Thank you for the reminder, and please accept my sincere
apologies!

Countess Margaret ny Connor

P.S.	Was gate in the usual place Saturday morning, or was it moved to
another location (perhaps closer to the list field for convenience) for this
event?
P.P.S.	No, this is NOT a conspiracy of one-time royalty! :-) Count Sir
Gunthar and I just happened to both screw up and publicly admit it at the
same event! :-)

Last night, as my wife Anne and I were discussing the
happenings at Queen's Champion, she commented that she had
not seen some of the people that I mentioned speaking to
around the list field go through gate sign-in. I found this
surprising, since because Rosenfeld is small and she is the
local treasurer, she worked gate from open (5:30 PM Friday)
to close (1:00 PM. Saturday). At the time, we were
reconciling the receipts vs funds for gate and I had the
sign in sheets in front of me, so I figured I would just
look these folks up and point out where they had signed in.
Sadly, I could not find these individuals anywhere on the
sign in sheet. I know that they arrived hours before gate
closed. The books balanced and we did not have any
unaccounted for funds. Most likely these gentles just
overlooked gate this one time. In a society based on honour
and courtesy, I cannot imagine this being intentional. I
will note that, His Majesty made time to stand in line to
sign in His entire family, so it can't be that anyone else
would be too important or too busy to sign in and pay site
fees. However, I must admit that, in the future, I will be
more curious about the gate sign in sheets when I see these
individuals at events.
