I know that when I recommend people for service awards I count people's participation in demos part of their service and if I recommend people for arts awards I put it in as teaching their craft...but whether the Crown accepts it or not...I don't know.

I know of people that it has been considered by the Crown that gave them their service award that the Demos they did were part of their service for AoA or Grant level awards but not the whole reason for their service award.
