came back from a long ride in the hills today with the new object de
lust (has her own harley road king and can almost keep up with me on
"raven" .. has potential) .. and found a box in my mailbox with a
note attached .... note read "learn it! will see on on my new game
server soon!" and was signed by a game-coder friend of mine ...

package contained a retail copy of activisions hot new game, medieval
total war (on sale fron aug 01) ... a medieval based game, built on
the game engine that made "shogun: total war" a hit in the game
world.

a quick once-over of the documentatation shows a lot of potential ...
religion, politics, factions, economics, great battle graphics, turn
based play, macro & micro level play .... all in all looks like a
winner (especially at $30 or less a copy).

tonight, i'm working on getting the old creative live! sound adapter
working in the new machine built last week (game will be a good test
of the new main workstation, especially te updated video) and will be
giving it some testing play next couple three days.

check it out if medieval war/sim gaming is your thing .... especially
if you enjoyed the msoft age kings / age empires game space.  and
expect to hear / read a lot more about it soon ihn te "trades" ....
