Thanks for the clarification...I guess it was just the way I read your phrasing...
 
I agree that some of the best craftspeople may never be a Laurel..there are tons of reasons why...becoming a Peer is a wierd proposition at best...and sometimes people don't want to use period techniques...or do the depth of research...or make it clear that they are unwilling to the job...or become burnt out...or the timing was just wrong...or they just like doing their stuff without haveing the load of expectation that is place on those visibly on the  "trek."

Kandace...this seems to imply that A&S competition are not open...is that what you meant?
